An update from the Founder
Our HE[ART]LAND programming came out of the gate strong with the 2022 HE[ART]LAND Fellowship, and with a month to rest and reflect, I'm excited to announce an important update.

Heartland Arts KC has simplified its mission and vision statements. Our mission; using the performing arts to educate Kansas City about the power of public policy. Our vision; to transform Kansas City into a hub for arts activism.
New York City is synonymous with theatre, Chicago with comedy, Los Angeles with film and television. I believe we can make Kansas City THE city for performers who want to use their art to make an impact, whatever the form.
We plan to accomplish this in two ways. (1) Supporting performing artists in Kansas City and (2) Making public policy more accessible to the greater Kansas City community. In the coming days and weeks we'll be announcing a series of programs and events that will focus on craft development for performers, community support, and youth education.
